Minute of Regular Board Meeting

August 1, 2023

Board Members Present:  Chairperson Gerald Schram, Supervisor’s Kyle Vareberg and Neal Sundet

Officers Present:                 Clerk, Dawn Utke; Treasurer, Becky Renner; ARPA Manager Deb Zachariason

Others Present:                   Dan Gustner and Matt Arola

Chairperson Schram called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Supervisor Sundet moved to approve the agenda, Supervisor Vareberg second, motion carried.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  

Supervisor Sundet made a motion to approve minutes with two changes, Supervisor Vareberg second, motion carried.

Treasurer Renner gave the treasurer’s report ending July 31,2023 with the checking having an ending balance of $126,167.51; the money market having an ending balance of $623,396.23 and the CD having an ending balance of $133,077.96 and a total balance of all accounts at $882,641.70.  Supervisor Schram motioned to approve, Supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.

Treasurer Renner asked the board to move the rest of the ARPA funds from savings to the checking, Supervisor Schram motioned to approve with the condition of contacting Lori Stalker and get her approval, Supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.

Payment of Bills, Supervisor Vareberg motion to approve, Supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.

Gustner Construction LLC. $3,987.50

Citizen’s Comments, there were none.

Road Report: Tower Road Agreement, tabled to next meeting, Supervisors would like the agreement to state an effective date as date of signature.  Clerk Utke will reach out to Burlington Clerk to get that changed.  Widening of 205th, Supervisor Vareberg is still working on this and will meet with Gustner in September to discuss options.  Supervisor Schram made the motion to approve, Supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.

Old Business:  ARPA money will be spent by the end of the year.  Patching and Crack Sealing, need to do some outreach to other townships to see who they use for repairs.  Town Hall, Supervisor Vareberg will get the RFP to us tomorrow.  Snow plow titles, we have the title for the 05, Supervisor Schram will check with the DMV to see if he can file for the 01.

New Business:  Budget, Supervisor Sundet and Treasurer Renner are working on it.

Supervisor motioned to adjourn the meeting, supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
