Minutes of Regular Board Meeting
October 3rd, 2023
Board Members Present: Chairperson Gerald Schram and Supervisor Neal Sundet
Officers Present: Clerk, Dawn Utke; Treasurer, Becky Renner and ARPA Manager

Others Present: Dan Gustner, Dale Renner, Kelly Greiner and Matt Arola
Chairperson Gerry Schram called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Agenda was approved, Supervisor Sundet made a motion and Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Please of Allegiance was recited.
September 5th meeting minutes were approved, Supervisor Sundet made a motion, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Treasurer Renner gave the Treasure’s report ending September 30, 2023 with the checking account having an ending balance of $297,075.45; the money market having an ending balance of $433,234.65 and the CD having an ending balance of $133,077.96 with a total ending balance of all accounts at $863,388.06. Supervisor Sundet made the motion to approve, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Payment of bills: Supervisor Sundet made the motion to approve, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.

Citizen’s Comments: Kelly Griener commented on South Cotton Lake Rd stating the roads are in good condition and a number of the people from the area were happy and hope they continue it next year.
Supervisor Schram had some requests from township citizens: Kevin Disse was wondering if the township would purchase a “share the road” sign and he would put it up, Supervisor Sundet made a motion to approve, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried. There was also a request on 302nd for a caution sign, Supervisor Schram made the motion and Supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.
Road Report—None
Old Business:
Budget—moved to next month agenda
Zoning—no issues with Nick and Betsy Lewis
Quality of 2023 dust control—was not satisfactory, Supervisor Sundet stated that this coming year when coordination was done between the township, road workers and Corbin they were going to check the roads before they issue payment for chloride treatment.
Brushing—Supervisor Sundet took care of Otto Zeck Rd. You could not see the stop sign at all. Supervisor Sundet made a motion to have Gustner clean up ditch brush, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Teideman Road cleanup was taken care of.
Pickeral Lake Road patching, Supervisor Sundet contacted Driveway Services and they were going to take care of that road along with Hubble Pond Road on Friday November 3, 2023.
RFP—not completed
Gravel plan--The following roads will have gravel put on them: 330th Avenue raise the grade by Rice Lake, West Pickeral Lake Rd-the first curve, 335th Near Perch Lake to State Hwy 34, 205th St, Borah Road, NE Pickeral Lake Rd and Cherry Creek Lane.
Discussion of roads was had—Gustner was going to be putting a culvert in on 305th, road trip early this year, have gravel contracts done early too, in order to keep 23/24 running smoothly.
Auction reserve—on newer plow will remain the same.
Deer policy—Supervisor Schram made a motion to not pick up deer that have been hit on township roads, Supervisor Sundet second, motion carried.
ARPA—Expense list provided by ARPA Manager Zachariason
Website .gov vs .com—a little more protected is all. Would be very costly.
New Business:
Posting of Plat of Aljoe Beach has been done.
Supervisor Sundet made a motion to adjourn, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:36 pm.
