Erie Township

Regular Board Meeting Minutes

August 2, 2022

Board Members Present:  Chairman Charles Chadbourne, Supervisor Gerry Schram, and Supervisor

                                               Kyle Vareberg.

Officers Present:                 Clerk Dawn Utke, Treasurer Becky Renner and ARPA Manager

                                              Deb Zachariason.

Others Present:                  Mitch Wimmer, Dan Gustner, Matt Arola, Mike Erb, Jessica Erb, Dale Renner

                                              And Michelle Root.

Chairman Chuck Chadbourne called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  The agenda was reviewed by the board.  A motion was made by Supervisor Schram and second by Supervisor Vareberg to approve the agenda, motion was carried.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

After reviewing the minutes from July 12th 2022 meeting Supervisor Schram made a motion to accept the minutes and Supervisor Vareberg second, motion was carried.

Treasurer, Becky Renner, gave the treasure’s report with the checking account having an ending July balance of $197,701.98; the money market having an ending balance of $512,796.58 and the cd having an ending balance of $129,264.70 making a total ending balance of all accounts at $839,763.26.  Supervisor Vareberg motioned to approve treasure’s report and Supervisor Schram second, motion was carried.

Road Report:

Rice Lake needs a cable locate and there is a tree down on South Cotton Lake at 33606 that needs to be cleaned up as well as trees on Pickeral Lake.  Matt and Supervisor Schram will follow up on this.  Issue was brought up with Gravelle Lane and Dale Renner will look into that.

Old Business:

Matt will take care of both Disse’s and the Perch Lake stop sign.

Supervisors will meet to get contracts updated.

New Business:

  1.  Mitch Wimmer brought cost savings to the table, motion was made by Supervisor Vareberg to again pay 50/50, board denied.  Motion was made by Supervisor Schram to discuss providing dust control on all roads at the March 2023 Annual Meeting, Supervisor Chadbourne second, motion was carried.

  2. 170th & 305th quote provided by County Engineer

  3. ARPA Report—Letter will go out to all Erie Township residents for a special meeting.  Supervisor Schram motioned and Supervisor Vareberg second, motion carried.

Citizen’s Comments:

Mike and Jessica Erb would like to build an approached on 315th, no objections by county board.

Meeting was let out at 8:30 p.m. without approval of bills, nor the meeting adjourned.
