Minutes of Regular Board Meeting
March 4, 2024
Board Members Present: Chairperson Gerry Schram and Supervisor Sundet via Zoom
Officers Present: Clerk, Dawn Utke and Treasurer Becky Renner
Others Present: Donna Kennedy, Brett Friesen, Deanne Kohler, Tom Thiel, Terry Larson and
Dale Renner
Chairperson Schram called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.
Agenda was approved with one addition. Supervisor Sundet moved to approved, Supervisor Schram second and motion was carried.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Supervisor Sundet motioned to approve February 6th 2024 meeting minutes, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Liquor License were approved for Curley’s and the Mountain, Supervisor Sundet made the motion, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Treasurer Renner gave the Treasure’s report ending February 29, 2024 with an ending balance in the checking account of $432,960.42; the money market having an ending balance of $453,296.10 and the CD having an ending balance of $133,077.96 with a total of all accounts at $1,019,334.48. Supervisor Schram moved to approve, Supervisor Sundet second, motion was carried.
Supervisor Sundet okay Treasurer Renner to sign payment of bills in Supervisor Vareberg’s absence.
Payment of bills: Supervisor Sundet motioned, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.

Citizen’s Comments: Terry Larsen had concerns on the roads being graded. The Supervisors will talk about it in the near future.
Road Report: None
Old Business:
ARPA No report
Budget, more money being budgeted to improve roads. Chairperson thanked Supervisor Sundet for taking care of that.
New Business:
Supervisor Sundet made the motion to approve the upcoming contracts to two years vs. one, Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Supervisor Sundet motioned for the board to approve the current contracts through May 1st, 2024; Supervisor Schram second, motion carried.
Minimum payment for the snowplow operator was tabled.
There will be Spring Short course held in Mahnomen again. He encouraged Supervisor Friesen to go and made the statement in regards to the by law that MAT is trying to change, is to vote NO so we do not lose the ability to vote for our district representative.
Stephanie Alexander was unable to attend he meeting. Brett was going to talk with her.
Tree down on 210th. Supervisor Sundet was going to let Gustner know to get it cleaned up.
